This family-friendly production will
feature two gold medalist professional dancers, Alexander
Saveliev and Mushegh Avetisyan. Swan Lake premiered on February
20, 1877, at the Bolshoi Theatre. It was the first ballet set to
the score of a symphonic composer and has endured as one of
Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s most famous works. It tells the love
story of Odette, a beautiful princess turned into a swan by the
evil sorcerer von Rothbart. Prince Siegfried falls in love with
Odette and attempts to break the spell, but is deceived by
Rothbart’s daughter, Odile.
